The Qualification, Research and Development team at ABC Awards has been shortlisted for a national award by the Federation of Awarding Bodies (FAB).
The inaugural FAB Awards, which will take place at the FAB Conference in October, recognise excellent people in Awarding Organisations who have had a positive impact over the last 12 months. The Qualification, Research and Development team at ABC Awards were nominated by their fellow staff, who had nothing but high praise for their achievements.
The Team Contribution of the Year accolade will be awarded to a team who work closely together, support each other and share common goals to make a positive contribution to the organisation, according to the FAB criteria for nominations.
A small team with big ideas, our Qualification, Research and Development team have brought exciting developments to ABC Awards in a short space of time, always investigating new ways of working to improve the development of our qualifications. Their impact has been felt throughout the organisation, with their time and energy always available to support other teams in marketing quality new products and to communicate qualification improvements to our Centre Support team and Centres.
The team have made a positive contribution to ABC Awards since their arrival, with individuals across the Centre Support and Business Development teams eagerly anticipating the next developments to share with Centres and partners. Since their appointments, the team has worked to collectively improve communication across the organisation, making the process from conception to delivery of a new qualification development clearer, both for colleagues and our Centres.
Paul Eeles, Group Chief Executive, stated:
“I am incredibly delighted that our Qualifications, Research and Development team has been shortlisted for this award. They are a fantastic team that have, since their arrival, helped to strengthen the organisation and develop high-quality qualifications for Centres and employers.
“Their enthusiasm and approachability has clearly inspired colleagues at ABC Awards, who have nominated them for this prestigious award. All of us at ABC Awards hope the team will go on to win at the awards ceremony in October.”
When asked about the team’s hard work and impact, fellow colleagues at ABC Awards said the following:
“One of the newest teams at ABC Awards, they have come together really well and have worked really hard. Not only are they willing to help in a work capacity, but they have also supported me with college work and the Brathay Apprenticeship Challenge.”
“This team is proactive with a great can-do attitude. They are always happy to help and go above and beyond, putting 100% into all they do. They are an easy-to-approach team with a real passion for their job.”
“They have good interaction with other teams at all points of the qualification development process. They keep other teams informed and invite their comments and thoughts to inform qualification development and implementation. Plus, the team has infectious enthusiasm about the qualifications we provide and a great sense of quality, and the need to get things right.”
