One of emfec's member colleges has been recognised in excellence for outstanding leadership of improvement.

Boston College in Lincolnshire has been shortlisted for a Beacon Award in the category of ‘Association of Colleges Award for Outstanding Leadership of Improvement’. The focus within this category is on effective leadership and management of organisational change, on creating a student-focused culture and on improving teaching and learning to produce positive results that have a significant impact on students.

The college has provided evidence of its ‘Be Brilliant’ strategy to demonstrate the positive impact on students. Assessors will be visiting Boston College on Tuesday 22nd September and will be looking at visionary and ambitious leadership and management in action.

On being shortlisted for this award, College Principal Amanda Mosek said “I am delighted that Boston College’s high standards and continuing success has been nationally recognised. The College really is a great place to study and all staff work incredibly hard to fulfil our mission, which is to transform the lives of individuals.”

The winners will be announced at the AoC Annual Conference on Tuesday 17 November.
