This week, the Estée Lauder Companies UK & Ireland, in collaboration with the Fashion Retail Academy (FRA), is launching the “Estée Lauder Companies Retail Management Programme”. The programme is a first for the cosmetics industry, offering retail managers the opportunity to undertake an employer-focused training programme in Strategic Retail Management underpinned by ABC Awards nationally recognised units.
The bespoke programme has been designed by the FRA with support from ABC Awards, uniquely tailored to the needs of Beauty Managers as leaders of large, high-volume accounts in a multi touch-point consumer environment. With consumer shopping experience changing dramatically over the last ten years through cross-channel purchasing – The Estée Lauder Companies Retail Management Programme will address this head-on; providing the knowledge and skills required to service consumers how, when and where they want.
The unique partnership between leading industry, awarding and training specialists will cover a broad range of topics, including marketing intelligence and the impact of the digital world on consumer behaviour; principles of retail space management; measuring return on investment; leadership skills and crisis management on the shop floor.
Rebecca Day, Head of HR for The Estée Lauder Companies UK & Ireland commented:
“At The Estée Lauder Companies we are very proud of the unique opportunities we offer in career progression from on-counter roles to Senior Executive level. We are the only premium beauty group to offer this unique proposition. At The Estée Lauder Companies we believe retail should be seen as an aspirational career, and our aim in launching the programme is to dispel many misconceptions around shop-floor roles whilst at the same time illustrate the fantastic opportunities for career development. Today’s retail beauty professionals are front-line marketeers, customer relationship managers and consumer insight experts; and The Estée Lauder Companies ’ unique offering looks to hone these skills by giving managers a unique opportunity not just to excel in their current role but to progress within the organisation.”
Fiona Grant, Director of Awarding Services at ABC Awards, said:
“We are delighted to support the Estée Lauder Companies and Fashion Retail Academy in delivering this unique programme.
Fashion Retail is a specialist industry, encompassing specialist skills and ABC Awards remains the first choice Awarding Organisation in this area. Bespoke programmes allow employers to tailor learning around their unique business objectives and distinguish themselves from their competitors, while offering a well-structured, nationally-recognised programme to employees.
Building on 70 years of leadership in the industry, the Estée Lauder Companies Retail Management Programme will enable managers to gain new skills and encourage them to drive forward the successful future of the brand.”
The training programme will be delivered at the Fashion Retail Academy in Central London once a week, and will run from the 4th August 2015 to 29th March 2016 with a break for peak trading over the holidays.
