This online session utilising Zoom is designed for staff who wish to consider and apply a range of strategies to develop their emotional resilience and sense of wellbeing. There will be a specific focus on what we can learn from NLP-informed techniques, particularly in relation to developing a stronger mind-set. Participants will learn from each other by sharing a variety of successful ideas to develop resilience. In so doing, they will:
- Self-assess their own levels of optimism
- Be introduced to Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), specifically the power of the senses and language techniques to improve self-belief and self-esteem
- Practise how to frame problems positively and set targets that are more likely to achieve productive outcomes.
Delivered by Dr Alison Scott (Lead Professional Development Advisor, Skills and Education Group) the session will provide opportunities for participants to practise some simple yet highly effective techniques to strengthen resilience.
