Delivered by Equality and Diversity specialist Vanessa Boon, this interactive webinar will explore how to counteract unconscious bias across society.

 

The online event will provide a platform for those attending to explore unconscious bias in more detail, offering techniques for courageous conversations which will assist in challenging inappropriate remarks, potential banter and micro-aggressions.  It will deep-dive into the different types of subconscious bias and how to spot and mitigate them, explore the Halo and Horns effect, and how internalise biases inhibit self-esteem, confidence and performance.

Vanessa Boon is a highly regarded trainer in the sector who is passionate about people development and diversity. Her community gift-work includes Hope not Hate, youth mentoring and the Human Library – where the books are people and Reading is a conversation and an opportunity to meet the person beyond the label (http://humanlibraryuk.org.
