This networking event is for all those who are engaging with employers, whether this is in relation to delivering and managing apprenticeships and work-based learning provision, or arranging and reporting against industry placements.
As well as offering plentiful opportunities for collaboration and networking with peers across a range of providers in the sector, we are pleased to welcome Chris Rowe (Business Development Director, Navigate). Chris has agreed to join us to present a practical session, demonstrating how six common Behavioural Economics/Nudge techniques can be utilised by an organisation to promote active engagement with employers.
In addition, Chris will also demonstrate how the Navigate software can be used effectively for the reporting of progress in enrichment, softer skills and industrial placements. To support Chris’s input, we are pleased to welcome Ashley Vaines from the RNN Group, who will demonstrate their use of the system to capture implementation and impact from the wider curriculum.
Following lunch, we are delighted to welcome Ian Smith (Senior HMI, West Midlands). Ian will focus his input around 'What do good apprenticeships look like?', highlighting the characteristics of high-quality apprenticeships, and with the curriculum at its heart, what does this mean for apprenticeships? Ian will also offer detail around some of the challenges apprenticeship providers have experienced during inspection since the coronavirus pandemic, such as missed learning and remote and online education.
We know that collaboration is a powerful form of professional development, and our networks are designed to facilitate and encourage peer collaboration. An important part of the session will therefore be a scheduled opportunity to network, learn about colleagues’ successes, hear each other’s ideas, and develop solutions to ongoing challenges.
Delegates are welcome to join us in person; alternatively, please feel free to access the event remotely via Zoom.
Please note: due to current social distancing guidance, in-person places for this event will be limited.
