Do you teach creative writing?  Would you like to explore some supportive strategies to aid your delivery of this subject? 

If the answer is yes, then come and join us for this useful and informative online event that will refer to English Language specification, focusing on the mark schemes using student exemplars.

Those attending will be guided through effective teaching strategies and provided with a range of resources to assist students when planning and answering this particular question as part of their GCSE English exam paper.

The session will focus on the following aspects of creative writing:

  • Identification of a range of accepted approaches to answering this question
  • How to effectively guide students with useful strategies and resources
  • Incorporation and effective use of visualisers to support teaching
  • Correct application of the mark scheme using marked exemplars
  • Increased confidence in applying the mark scheme to students’ work
