Following the positive feedback received from previous events which offered advice and guidance around managing learner behaviour, this Zoom webinar aims to offer useful supportive approaches for those who are now delivering through a blended approach of face-to-face and virtual delivery.

The session will offer ideas and strategies designed to assist educators now that we are working in a blended world of delivery and assessment, highlighting the importance of providing an environment that is consistent when dealing with learners both face-to-face and online.

Reaffirming the need to establish expectations and trust, the session will offer advice to help enable and encourage positive working relationships and behaviours, whilst still being empathetic to learners’ needs and uncertainties.  There will be plenty of opportunity to share practice around the importance of implementing approaches that reinforce positive behaviour, focusing both on those learners that challenge us, and those who are dedicated and hardworking, ensuring they are stretched appropriately.

There will also be an opportunity to review how our behaviours and approaches impact learners, especially in these uncertain times.  And, how by using empathy and by verbalising our expectations in regards to the behaviours we wish to see, we can help set and confirm clear expectations for a successful working partnership.

Led by Karen Plowman, Head of Professional Development, Skills and Education Group, this interactive webinar will offer attendees some practical ideas and suggestions for supporting and managing positive behaviours now that we are teaching in blended learning environments.  In addition, attendees will be encouraged to share their own experiences, discussing strategies that they have found to be effective in their own practice, whilst collaborating with colleagues in relation to areas where further support and guidance would be helpful.
