How does standardisation and Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) support the assessment process? Following the positive feedback received from this session when it was delivered in 2021, this interactive webinar offers an opportunity to consider the importance of ensuring quality in relation to the delivery and assessment of regulated and non-regulated qualifications.
Standardisation practices will be reviewed and there will be an opportunity for those participating to share thoughts and ideas as to how their own methods and that of their provider could be improved. The role of the IQA will also be examined in relation to how it aims to both support and improve assessment practice, as well as moderate and quality assure achieved learning outcomes. The session will review the importance of ensuring consistency, transparency, validity and reliability and why this is essential to maintain high quality provision for all stakeholders.
The session is aimed at all those who would like to learn more about internal and external quality assurance processes and procedures from initial mapping of intended outcomes, allocation of assessment criterion, verification of practice through to final verification and planning for external quality assurance with the chosen Awarding Organisation.
Delivered by Karen Plowman, Head of Professional Development, this engaging and collaborative session will allow those attending a chance to discuss and understand appropriate and fundamental approaches to quality assuring provision, whilst offering an opportunity to engage with others who are also new to the standardisation and verification process.
