ABC Awards is holding a free event on Thursday 28 April to introduce the new MOT Tester qualifications and supporting CPD programmes to current and prospective Centres.

The new qualifications, developed with the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) and two other awarding organisations, will replace the current nomination system for becoming a qualified MOT Tester.

The new system will enable colleges, training providers and companies with in-house motor vehicle training facilities to deliver new MOT Tester and Centre Manager qualifications and CPD programmes to their learners.

The event, to be held at ABC Awards' offices in Nottingham, will introduce tutors and curriculum leads to the new qualifications and how they can begin offering these qualifications in the 2016/17 academic year.

With representatives from ABC Awards, the DVSA and the ABC Awards Lead Moderator for the motor vehicle sector, the event will be an informative and engaging introduction to the new qualifications and how the new system will work.

Delegates will also have the opportunity to ask questions, network with colleagues from the motor vehicle sector, and find out how they can become an approved Centre to offer these new qualifications.
