The Skills and Education Group has today announced Jenny Williams as its Deputy Chief Executive.
Jenny brings a wealth of experience to the role, as both Deputy Chief Executive within the Group and Managing Director of ASDAN. She joins us from her successful role as Director of Vocational Education and Training at the Education and Training Foundation. Prior to that Jenny led the Secretariat for the influential Commission on Adult Vocational Teaching and Learning.
Paul Eeles, Chief Executive of the Skills and Education Group, said:
“Jenny’s appointment is a valuable addition to our organisation and she will be a key player in helping to shape the formation of the Skills and Education Group, ASDAN and the other founding charities.
“Jenny’s experience will help us provide a wealth of knowledge about the changing educational landscape, which affects our members and customers in the education and skills sector.”
Jenny began her career working locally with schools, first for Dorset Training and Enterprise Council and then Southampton City Council. More recently, she has held a range of national strategic roles in further education.
Commenting on her appointment, Jenny said:
“I am thrilled to be joining the Skills and Education Group and ASDAN during these exciting and changing times in education. The Group provides a unique opportunity to support both young people in their transitions to adult and working life, and adult learners looking to further develop their skills or change direction. Supporting the staff who do so much to enable students to achieve has never been more important.
“I look forward to embracing the challenges ahead and working with Paul and the teams at ABC Awards, ASDAN and emfec to continue to provide an excellent service to our members and customers.”
Jenny will take up her role on 1 September 2016.
