23 January 2026
Welcome back to another monthly blog – and happy new year!
A new year always feels exciting, but this one feels extra special. I’ve now been in my role for over a year, and January marks the end of my Level 3 apprenticeship journey. Let’s dive in.
Level 3 Apprenticeship
From November through to now, I’ve been working hard on my End Point Assessment. For this, I planned and executed a marketing campaign to promote our animal care qualifications.
The campaign included:
-
Email marketing
-
Social media content
-
Ad boards
-
Flyers
Overall, the campaign was a real success and gave me the opportunity to put everything I’ve learned into practice. This month, I’ll be delivering my final presentation all about the campaign. Once that’s completed, I’ll officially be finishing my Level 3 Apprenticeship and moving on to a Level 4 Marketing Apprenticeship, which is a huge milestone for me.
New Year’s Reflections and Resolutions
I had a lovely New Year’s celebration. My fiancé and I stayed in a hotel, made our own buffet, and watched the fireworks from the window. It was the perfect way to reflect on everything I achieved in 2025, including:
-
Becoming a Multicultural Apprenticeship Awards Finalist
-
Completing my Multi-Channel Marketing End Point Assessment
-
Receiving an East Midlands Apprenticeship Ambassador Network Star Award
-
Being awarded Highly Commended at the Appy Snappers Awards
-
Moving into my own flat with my fiancé
-
Writing a blog for Placer Apprenticeships, which is now live
-
Creating a successful National Apprenticeship Week campaign
-
Attending the WorldSkills EDI Awards
-
Attending my first Apprenticeship Ambassador Network Conference
-
Attending East Midlands Apprenticeship Ambassador Network events and visiting more schools
-
Going to Leeds Music Festival and seeing STAMP OUT SPIKING
Looking back on all of this got me thinking about what I want to achieve in 2026.
Goals for 2026
This year, I want to focus on developing my videography and photography skills, as these are areas of marketing, I’m passionate about and want to grow in.
Some of my goals for the year include:
-
Creating a monthly video snippet about my apprenticeship journey
-
Attending more events and visiting more schools
-
Hosting an East Midlands Apprenticeship Ambassador Network meet-up with Skills and Education Group
-
Getting back to LinkedIn and developing my personal brand
-
Making more time for hobbies and interests I enjoy
-
Moving to a better apartment and potentially getting a pet
That’s it for this blog! Happy new Year and I will see you in the next one!
