15 January 2026

Following our announcement last year, we are delighted to share that Emma Beal officially assumed her new role as Chief Executive Officer of the Skills and Education Group this month.

Emma joins us at a pivotal moment as we look towards a year of continued growth and transformation in 2026. With more than 25 years in educational leadership, including her recent role as Principal and CEO of Northern College, Emma is a well-known supporter of inclusion and social mobility. Her career has focused on promoting social change through strategic vision and effective educational solutions, making her the perfect leader to steer the Group through its next phase of development.

Reflecting on her new role, Emma said:

"I am excited to be joining the Skills and Education Group as their new CEO. I look forward to working with trustees, staff, and stakeholders to ensure that Skills and Education Group continues to build on its strong foundations and is well placed to improve lives through education and skills development."

— Emma Beal, CEO

Emma’s expertise in strategic transformation and rigorous quality assurance will be pivotal as we broaden our influence and reinforce our unwavering support for centres, colleges, partners, and members across the sector.
