What’s Been Happening at Work 

Work has been incredibly exciting. One of the biggest highlights has been the launch of our new podcast in May, which has been brilliant to see after all the planning that went into it. I’m also looking forward to promoting our upcoming CPD sessions over the next few weeks. 

I’ve also spent more time working on analytics, which has been really interesting. Looking at performance data has helped me understand what content is working well and where we can improve. It’s another area of digital marketing that I’m really enjoying learning about through my apprenticeship. A huge thank you to Yasmin for helping me build these reports. 

Every month, I feel more confident in my role, and it’s rewarding to see how much my apprenticeship is helping me grow professionally. 

Continuing to Learn with Baltic 

Alongside my day-to-day work I’ve completed lots of HubSpot training and I have found this this month which has been fascinating. 

I’ve learnt more about social media strategy, audience personas, content planning, storytelling, AI search, content audits and measuring the success of campaigns. One topic I found particularly interesting was how search is changing. Instead of only focusing on getting people to click onto a website, businesses now also need to think about how AI search tools discover and reference their content. 

I also really enjoyed learning about storytelling. Great marketing isn’t just about promoting a product. It’s about creating a genuine connection with people by explaining why you’re doing something, how it helps others and what you’re offering. That’s something I want to continue applying to both my work and my own content. 

The best part is that the learning doesn’t stop there. I’ve got a two-day training course coming up and I’m excited to continue building my skills through my apprenticeship. 

Moving Again and my egg house 

This month I moved again house, and I can honestly say it’s been the best decision yet. I’ve moved into a beautiful two-bedroom flat with plenty of space, I’m very excited as it meaning means we can build a home office which I’m very excited about. The flat has exposed beams throughout, which makes it feel like a cosy cottage, and I’ve loved decorating it. 

My fiancé and I found lots of fluffy cow decorations for the bathroom, some lovely bears for the kitchen and my favourite purchase of all, a wooden egg house. It is exactly as adorable as it sounds and has quickly become my favourite thing in the kitchen. 

Moving into a home like this has really made me reflect on how far I’ve come. I went from living with my parents to moving into a small city studio, and now I’m settled somewhere that truly feels like home. My apprenticeship has played a huge part in making that possible by giving me a career that has allowed me to keep progressing and earning while learning. 

The Cows 

The highlight of the month had to be seeing the cows. 

I absolutely love cows, so finding a local farm that sells fresh eggs and milk while also letting visitors see the cows was perfect. We picked up some eggs for my new egg house, enjoyed a countryside walk, and finished the day with a lovely carvery at a local pub. 

Although I now have a longer commute to work, living somewhere surrounded by countryside and a strong community has been completely worth it. Having a career through my apprenticeship has given me the opportunity to build a life that makes me genuinely happy both inside and outside of work. 

Why Apprenticeships Matter 

One thing I’ve really missed recently is speaking to students about apprenticeships and showing them that university isn’t the only path to a successful career. 

I also want to continue supporting LGBTQ+ young people, especially transgender students. When I was in sixth form, I experienced a lot of transphobia and homophobia and was made to feel like I had no future because of who I was. Those experiences had a huge impact on my confidence and made school incredibly difficult. 

That experience is one of the reasons I’m so passionate about talking about apprenticeships. I want students to know that there are different routes into successful careers and that they shouldn’t let anyone tell them what they can or can’t achieve. If sharing my journey helps even one person feel more confident about their future, then it will be worth it. 

Conclusion 

Overall, this has been a month of growth in every sense. I’ve settled into a new home, continued developing my marketing skills, worked on some exciting projects and spent time reflecting on why apprenticeships are so important to me.
