We now have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Lead External Assurer - Security.

About the role

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Security and Protective Services, this role is crucial in maintaining the integrity and high standards of BIIABs SIA-licence linked qualifications.

The successful candidate will:

  • Lead the team of External Quality Assessors, ensuring a consistent approach to centre visits and quality assurance activities.

  • Conduct robust quality assurance evaluations of BIIAB Approved Centres offering SIA-licence linked qualifications.

  • Support centres to meet BIIAB, OFQUAL, and SIA regulatory standards.

  • Deliver training and standardisation events to drive continuous improvement and compliance across the security qualifications portfolio.

  • Conduct sampling of learner evidence, oversee malpractice investigations, and collaborate with third-party stakeholders to maintain sector integrity.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced quality assurance professional to play a key role in supporting the security sector and upholding the highest standards of qualification delivery.

Who we are looking for

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Significant experience in quality assurance and assessment within the security sector.

  • A strong understanding of SIA-licence linked qualifications, regulatory compliance, and sector standards.

  • Proven ability to lead and support a team of EQAs, ensuring consistency and quality across all activities.

  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills, with the ability to provide clear, actionable feedback to centres.

  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, training delivery, and continuous improvement.

  • The ability to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies.
