The Skills and Education Group Awards are currently seeking an experienced Quantity Surveying professional to undertake External Quality Assurance (EQA) activities on a freelance basis.

This role involves supporting the quality and integrity of The SEG Awards Level 4 Diploma in Quantity Surveying, ensuring centres meet regulatory and awarding organisation requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

• Sampling assessment decisions and learner evidence
• Monitoring centre compliance with quality standards and regulatory expectations
• Supporting centres to maintain and improve assessment and internal quality assurance practices
• Producing clear, accurate reports and maintaining robust documentation

We are looking for individuals who have:

• Strong occupational experience within Quantity Surveying
• Experience in assessment, internal quality assurance (IQA), or external quality assurance (EQA) (desirable)
• An understanding of regulated qualifications and awarding organisation requirements (desirable)

An EQA qualification is preferred however, we are happy to consider experienced professionals willing to work towards this.

Qualification Overview

You will be quality assuring our Level 4 Diploma in Quantity Surveying, an Ofqual-regulated qualification designed for learners aged 18+ who are pursuing a career in quantity surveying.

The qualification develops technical knowledge, practical skills, and professional understanding required within the discipline, covering areas such as construction technology, economics, law, measurement, and management principles. It is designed to support progression into employment or further study and aims to develop reflective practitioners capable of applying knowledge to real construction project challenges.
