The Skills and Education Group has launched a new podcast, titled ‘Let’s Go Further’.

The podcast shines a spotlight on education and the role it plays in transforming lives. Each episode features guests from the world of education and beyond, and delves into their journeys, achievements, and why education matters to them.

Developed with support from podcast consultancy Research Podcasts, the first series will include six episodes, with new episodes released on a fortnightly basis from Wednesday 28 September 2022.

‘Let’s Go Further’ is hosted by Joe Mcloughlin, Foundation and External Affairs Manager at the Skills and Education Group. Throughout the series, Joe speaks to a variety of guests, including learners who have succeeded in the face of adversity, teachers who inspire others, and many other people who support education through their work.

In the first episode, ‘The power of education, where it all starts’, Joe speaks to Jaz Ampaw-Farr, a teacher, keynote speaker, trainer and ‘resilience ninja’. After progressing through further education, Jaz has led a vibrant and successful career, delivering a variety of TEDx talks and starring on the BBC’s The Apprentice.

In her conversation, Jaz talks about the transformative impact of further education on her own life, and how this experience has shaped her current work to inspire and support educators. You can listen to the conversation here.

What you’re doing in FE is not getting people qualifications – it’s literally changing people’s lives.
