A flexible learning journey to suit you

Our Emerging Leaders programme includes a combination of face-to-face delivery and online learning delivered by industry professionals. The course incorporates leadership spotlights; opportunities to network with peers, leaders and managers in the sector plus, the use of collaborative blogs and forums.

 

During the programme

You will work with experienced leaders in the sector who will guide you on your journey, plus you will have plenty of opportunities to review and reflect on your learning, enhancing your skills even further.

The programme has been designed to be delivered over six sessions throughout the 2023/2024 academic year, with each module enabling you to delve deeper into the topics associated with leadership and management. In each session you will hear from an experienced leader from within the industry or the wider public sector, and your learning will be further complimented with opportunities for online learning and collaboration.  In addition, modules for this programme have been mapped to the ILM Level 3 Diploma for Managers.

  • What dates will the programme take place?

    The programme will start with an initial introductory session on Wednesday 13 December 2023. Further sessions will then be held on the following dates:

    • Thursday 18 January 2024 – 10:00 to 16:00
    • Friday 22 March 2024 – 10:00 to 16:00
    • Friday 19 April 2024 – 10:00 to 16:00
    • Tuesday 30 April 2024 – 10:00 to 16:00
    • Friday 21 June 2024 – 10.00 to 16.00

    The programme will be offered through a blended approach using a mix of online and face-to-face delivery.

  • Who should attend?

    This programme is for aspiring individuals who are involved in delivery and assessment or operational and business support functions within the further education and skills sector. It will provide individuals with the knowledge and skills to step-up and lead.

  • How to find us

    In person sessions are likely to be held at Robins Wood House Training Centre which is located in Aspley, about 2.5 miles to the north west of Nottingham city centre. It is easily accessible from the M1 (Junctions 25 and 26) and there are public transport links from the city centre. The nearest train station is Nottingham. Car parking at Robins Wood House is free.
