We are delighted to welcome back Julie Ashton, Senior HMI for the East Midlands to provide input at our Second Quality Matters Network for the 2023-24 academic year.

This informative networking event will provide details on Ofsted's findings during 2022-23 and share what is known about inspection for the current year.  During this in-person event, there will also be ample time for questions and for collaboration with others who are responsible for quality improvement and quality assurance within their organisations.

Facilitated by Karen Plowman, Head of Professional Development and Learning, Skills and Education Group, this networking event will offer a chance for participants to learn first-hand about the key focus and methodologies Ofsted are currently adopting and an update about what is on the horizon.

In addition, we are delighted to welcome designated safeguarding lead, Vicki Stockdale to the meeting.  Vicki will lead discussions and provide support around vulnerability and the importance of effectively recognising and dealing with vulnerable adults and young people and how this links to Ofsted's requirements in terms of safeguarding, behaviours and attitudes.

There will also be plenty of time during the meeting for participants to share practice with others attending, learning about some of the useful and effective strategies that are being implemented across organisations and the impact they are having.

We know that networking works best face-to-face, so do come and join us for this informative and engaging event which will be followed by a networking lunch from 12:45.
