This session was delivered in June 2021 by Karen Plowman, Head of Professional Development. The session focuses on standardisation and Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) and how this supports the assessment process.
The Education and Training Foundation (ETF) commissioned Education Support in February 2019 to help them investigate the current levels of staff wellbeing in the post-14 workforce. The aims of the research was to identify and measure current levels of staff wellbeing in the sector; to identify specific groups of staff at different career stages who have the highest risk of poor wellbeing; and to understand the work-related and personal factors impacting on wellbeing. The Professional Standards were developed by the Education and Training Foundation (ETF), in consultation with practitioners and providers from across the Education and Training sector, in 2014. In 2019, five years on from their launch, the ETF conducted an online survey to ascertain:
Last year, 2,685 teaching staff from 26 further education (FE) and sixth form colleges took part in Jisc's survey. The survey was conducted between October 2019 and July 2020. 62% of the data for the survey was collected after the lockdown on 23 March in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and reports on the challenges being experienced by both staff and learners.
